Urban Agriculture has an integrative and cohesive role; people of different countries, cultures and social conditions can find meeting points through agriculture. Working together on the community gardens, establishes new relationships between the users.
I was surprised when I have found one NGO, that it uses agriculture.
Centre d’Acollida Assis (NGO) has begun a project with people with high risk of social exclusion, where the agriculture is the tool to teach:
- New habits
- Teamwork
- Improve the self esteem
- Learn a new job.
Their orchards are in Putxet (Barcelona).
